Battlefield

For years you have tried to overpower me
Trying to suck my life force
Fill my head with lies and despair
But time after time I stand up again

I collect the pieces of my self confidence
and glue them back together
It will last
until the next battle

Again you try
Take me down with your sword of glory
but my shields shall not break
Today I will win!

I shall have the glory
I shall have the smile of victory
Until the next time

on the battlefield of life and death
